Attached is – The 2021/2022 USMMA Breeder Directory.
The Breeder Directory has full information on the USMMA Members who are also Marchador Breeders. These breeders may or may not have Marchador horses for sale all of the time, but they represent a wealth of information about the breed and are very happy to share their knowledge with others. Visitors are welcome too.
We would like more people to learn about and own Mangalarga Marchador horses! Spread the word and feel free to share this list with others!
Best regards,
Jeff Bosley, USMMA President
Attached is a pdf file of the directory. The pdf file is sorted first by Country and State. Within state, it’s alphabetical by farm name.
The USMMA has opened a shop with Land’s End Business. Land’s Ends offers their full line of clothing with your choice of logo – the USMMA logo, or the internationally recognized symbol of the Mangalarga Marchador, the horseshoe M brand.
You can order 1 logo or both! You can order only 1 item! Excellent quality!
Here’s how to order!
Go to the USMMA Land’s End store by following this link:
After you have selected an item and ordered, the next screen will be a LOGO Application screen. It will show your item, and on the right-hand side ask if you want a logo and the location of the logo in a drop-down box.
LOGO 1 – choices are USMMA logo, M Brand logo, or No logo
LOCATION – choices are Chest Left, Chest Right, Sleeve Left, Sleeve Right, etc.
After you apply the first logo, it will ask if you want to apply a second logo in another drop-down box.
LOGO 2
LOCATION
After you hit CONTINUE, your item will be displayed with the logo fee (about $8.50 per logo) and you can proceed to CHECKOUT. At checkout, shipping charges will also apply.
From time to time, there are specials that offer logos and shipping for free or at discounted prices. Enjoy!
All of the North American Mangalarga Marchadors AND their ancestors have been added to our new pedigree system. It was a big effort to transfer our data manually.
938 Mangalarga Marchador horses are in our database. (206 are registered with the USMMA, but that number includes some horses that are now deceased). All of the North American horses have photos and overall, 37% have photos. Like Ancestry.com, you can go explore your horse’s lineage. You can find them in the Registry section of this website on the page labeled View Pedigree.
Information about the horses was added if it was available, like date of birth, color, registration number etc. However, if you look at the record, there is lots more room to add information about your horse – shows, awards, disciplines, height, weight, any kind of write-up. If you find errors, want to change the photo or want to add more information or video to your horse’s record, please send that request to the USMMA registrar.
You are able to download and print your horse’s pedigree whenever you want. On the pedigree form, you will notice a scannable code (using any smart phone) that will take you directly to the website and that pedigree on the website.
The USMMA registrar, now Megan McClarney Fallwell, will continue to issue the official registration document and the foal registration procedures remain the same.
Future Plans:
Classified ads will facilitate MM sales or stallion stud services. Photo shows Flying Oaks 2 year old colts.
Around April 2012, I will be adding and testing the WikiHorseWorld Classified Ads system if they have it completed on time.
WikiHorseWorld currently offers four ad “categories” for Horses, Products, Services, and Events. They will be developing four additional ad categories for Equine Real Estate, Trailers, Saddles, and Horse Hay (a total of 8 Classified Ad categories).
There will be options for simple ads and premium ads. Premium ads would include photos and videos.
During this timeframe is when WikiHorseWorld anticipates that members will be able to add photos, videos from your computer, and videos from YouTube to your Marchador’s pedigree. The classified ads and the horse’s pedigree, pictures and videos will be displayed on the USMMA website and also WikiHorseWorld’s website.

Kate Barcelos, clinic instructor riding Andante (Apple Pie de Miami)
We had a great, great Mangalarga Marchador clinic hosted by Legacy Marchadors over this past weekend, April 6-10. The photo is Kate Barcelos, our Brazilian instructor riding Andante (Apple Pie de Miami) owned by Haras Lucero, TN. Kate flew in from Brazil, assisted by USMMA member Aline Greene who translated Portuguese to English for us.
Kate’s credentials were many, but a few I remember are that she was the #2 dressage rider for all of South America, she is a vet, and she is the first woman technician approved by the ABCCMM to inspect Mangalarga Marchadors in gait and conformation.
We had classroom and riding time, learning with participants from FL, SC, TN, OK, AZ, TX, OR, IN, VA, NC, MO! It was a success on so many levels! Thank you Colin and Megan for all your hard work. And thank you to Bill and Sandy, Rick and Karin for bringing additional Marchadors to ride.
The next MM clinic is already being discussed for March 2012 in Ocala, FL. We hope to see you there!
